CHF International Aid to Displaced Lebanese Civilians

My friend works for CHF International and she e-mailed me the following today:

CHF International has launched its appeal for donations to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon. You can see the appeal below and follow the link to make a donation. CHF has been operating all over Lebanon (Beirut, Tripoli, Saida, Tyre, Bekaa, Zahleh, in addition to other small cities and villages throughout the country) for over 10 years, so we have the capacity to begin immediate relief efforts (but not in the south, at least not right now). We will first focus on providing relief commodities, such as beds, blankets, food, water, and medicine to internally displaced persons (IDPs) staying in public buildings, such as schools and community centers, and hopefully, if the immediate crisis comes to an end, we can focus on facilitating returns to IDPs' villages/cities of origin. If you decide to make a donation and want to follow up on what's happening with your contribution, you can always ask me since I'm the program officer for Lebanon.

Thanks for the consideration. Please spread this email around if you know of others looking to donate money to relief efforts in Lebanon.

Best
