Lamont Leads Lieberman by 13 Points

Today's Quinnipiac poll showed that Lamont now leads Lieberman 54 to 41 percent in the Connecticut Democratic Senate Primary Race that will take place on Aug. 8th, this upcoming Tuesday. There has been a lot of talk about Lamont being the candidate of internet bloggers, as though this were a bad thing. Folks, when a candidate is elected through the small payment contributions of thousands of people--as opposed to big money special interests--that means that he will not need to bow to the demands of corporate pressure so as to raise money. It is already virtually guaranteed that the Republican challenger in this race is not going to win (he held only 9% of the vote in the latest poll), so why not vote for the candidate that represents your best interests? Even if you wer
e to disregad Lieberman's cheerleading activities in regards to the Iraq War, you cannot ignore his weak position on a vast array of other central issues, issues that Lamont has openly spoken out against. Read about those here.
