Again Hillary Clinton is on the wrong side of an issue:She said in the interview that there were “remaining vital national security interests in Iraq” that would require a continuing deployment of American troops. Source NYTimes.
When is Clinton going to realize that unless we respect the sovereignty of nations in the Middle East and act in terms of their national interests we will never be welcome. Our presence is simply NOT helping things. Just today the 'withdrawal bill' that Democrats posed to Congress had a benchmark in it stipulating that the Iraqi parliament must pass a bill allowing for the privatization of oil companies in Iraq before one of the requirements is met. Read an article about that bill here. Remember, not long ago a poll showed that 87% of Iraqis want us to leave. We will never change the history of mistrust we've built in the Middle East unless we first change our actions.
Oh and if anyone needed a reminder as to why Hillary Clinton is the wrong choice:
-Supports the Death Penalty
-Supports NAFTA
-Does not believe in giving gay couples the freedom to marry
-Has not admitted that her vote for the war was a mistake
-Supports the use of Cluster Bombs (even after Israel's use of them left half a million unexploded shells strewn across Lebanon last summer)
-Supports a constitutional ban on flag burning
-Just yesterday echoed Bush by saying that all options are on the table with Iran
-Is one of the most one-sided Senators when it comes to the issue of Israel and Palestine
-Has not led on any risky political positions since taking office

I am all with you here. I really really really really really don't like Hillary Clinton and think she is a fake and phony!!! I am doing a project and this helps. Here is what I have so far The United States of America has never had a women president. Discrimination against women has decreased greatly, but there still has never been a female in charge of our army and three branches of government. However, Hilary Clinton is running for president in '08. I think the idea of a women president is new and fantastic, but I think we should choose a fitting person to lead our country.
Hilary Clinton's husband, Bill, was not a responsible president in my opinion. He had an affair right under his wife's nose and lied about it too! Hilary turned a blind eye. A mature and responsible move, yet extremely questionable. Staying married to him was one thing, but to continue to support him was, as I think of it, simply preposterous! She supported him to save his career, and also her image. By divorcing him, it would have inflicted bad decision making on her. Part of being the president means you must stand up for what is right. Each person in America, or the entire world for that matter, should have the right to be independent. Hilary should have said "That's enough!" yet she looked away. If we had a problem in the United States, would she look away and try to ignore it? That is up for the people of America to decide.
thx!
