Bush to Veto Children's Health Insurance Program Renewal


If President Bush has his way, six million American children will lose their health insurance on September 30th.

That's when the State Children's Health Insurance Program -- a program that provides health care for low-income children -- is set to expire. Congress is finalizing a bill to reauthorize SCHIP, but President Bush has vowed to veto the legislation.

We absolutely cannot let that happen. Health coverage for American kids is far more important than the President's extreme ideology and loyalty to his cronies in the health insurance industry.

Step up and show your support for SCHIP. Call your members of Congress and tell them to stand up to President Bush's veto threats:
