Barney Frank Introduces Anti-discrimination Bill




Barney Frank Democratic Representative from Massachusetts, has introduced legislation (H.R. 3685) that would prohibit "employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation". Under the legislation, it would be against the law to fire, "refuse to hire", or engage in any type of discrimination against an employee based on their "actual or perceived sexual orientation". The law would apply not only to employers, but to organizations such as labor unions and employment agencies as well.
