Clinton Has “Rural America” Event at Lobbyist Firm Representing Giant Agribusiness Company

Not only is Hillary Clinton the only one of the three major candidates running for the Democratic nomination who is willing to accept money from Washington lobbyists, but she gives a new name to irony by having a luncheon for rural America be hosted by a lobbying firm for the agribusiness giant Monsanto!

The Boston Globe:

Yesterday morning, ABC News reported on its website that Clinton had scheduled a "Rural Americans for Hillary" lunch for later this month. But the location for the lunch, which features a briefing from members of Congress and senior campaign staff, is anything but rural: the Washington office of Troutman Sanders Public Affairs, a lobbying firm representing Monsanto, the agribusiness and biotechnology giant.

The article also mentions that Edwards is an investor in a private-equity firm that used to have shares in Monsanto and that a former aid of was a lobbyist for them, but the prize still has to go to Hillary on this one. I mean seriously, you're already on the hot seat for your association with lobbyists and you insult rural America by have these scumbags host your event?
