Lebanon Humanitarian Crisis Update

While the carnage in Lebanon continues, Israel has agreed to increasing calls from the international community to allow food, medicine and other supplies into the country. Even as the road system has been destroyed, a viable route is to be determined so that international food and water supplies can reach the civilian population. A route out of the country into Syria has remained open, though many have not had access to this route since navigating the destroyed road-system has become so difficult. Meanwhile, the U.S. government is working to expedite a shipment of 'precision-guided' missiles to Israel, reminding us of the $2,280,000,000 a year that American taxpayers give to Israel solely for the purposes of military funding (as compared to 3.6 billion to the whole of the continent of Africa for all services, plus any need for emergency food aid that should arise). Moreoever, the fact that these missiles are being expedited begs the question: How much longer is the bombing campaign to continue?
