Registering to Vote: Instructions

Read this post to learn how to register to vote easily through this site. But get to it, as time is running out:

----------------------------------------------------------------

People who have not yet registered to vote, click on the link in the upper right part of the page to get started. You need to do this soon because the process is not all online. After you provide your information and click submit you will be directed to a pdf version of the registration form. You then have to print it, sign it and mail it in to your Secretary of State whose address will be provided according to the state you entered in your personal address. You have to have registered at least 15 days prior to elections (at least this is the case in California) so get to it! For a list of primary dates click here; California's is on February 5th, 2008.

After you complete the voter registration application process you will be emailed a pdf of your completed application for your records or the convenience of printing out at a later date.

Please note: North Dakota, New Hampshire and Wyoming don't accept the National Voter Registration Application form. If you live in one of these states, contact your Secretary of State's office.
